LAND4IMPACT

LAND4IMPACT

Lead Organization: Aalborg University

Project Period: April 2026 – February 2028

Pool: TRACE Pool 3.3

Project Status: NEW

LAND4IMPACT addresses Denmark’s urgent need for smarter land management in the green transition. The project brings together four InnoMissions to optimize land use, minimize environmental footprints, and maximize benefits across sectors, directly supporting Denmark’s climate, water, and biodiversity goals for 2030 and 2050.

LAND4IMPACT’s impact will be significant both during and after the project. In the project period, it will produce a joint land-use strategy, train 200 stakeholders, and publish three policy briefs. By 2030, the project aims to reduce CO₂ emissions per project by 5–10%, increase positive environmental effects by 50%, and decrease negative impacts by 25%. It will also shorten permitting times by 4–6 months, improve project success rates by 25%, and reach at least 5,000 users.

Participating partners: Aalborg University, Danmarks Miljøportal, University of Copenhagen, KL.

Theme: The project LAND4IMPACT is part of Theme 2 Green transition and land use.
